SENIOR NON-COMMISSIONED OPERATIONAL DUTIES COURSE

Mission of the Course.

  • The senior non-commissioned operational duties course provides advanced conventional and echelon training for Staff Sergeants in the South African Army (SA Army). The mission of the Senior NCOs operational duties course includes the enhancement of demonstrated interpersonal and conceptual abilities of the NCO, develop a working knowledge of the role of the Warrant Officer (as a member of the commanders staff), and to broaden individual perspectives of the SA Army.
  • The SA Army Combat Training Centre present the Senior NCOs Operational duties practical course for a period of 13 weeks and a theory course for a period of 4 weeks.
  • The courses are focused on enhancing the student’s skill to function as a member of the commander’s staff (in a conventional environment) and effectively communicating verbally and in writing, with seniors, subordinates and peers.
