System Manager Computer Based Training Wing

The Technology Based Training Branch were established in the late 89 to early 90 with the function and aim to improve Technology Based Training in the SA A Army Battle School at that time and to support the Training Branch (Formal Training Wing) with Technological methods of training.

Simulation as part of the Technology Based Training trigger the development of the Tactical Exercise Simulator (TES) which were used from the 1993 onwards.

Computer Based Training were also develop for Distance Education packages from 1991 onwards at the SA Army Battle School.

During the restructuring of the SA Army the Computer Based Training Branch were moved to a wing of the SA Army Combat Training Centre with two main functions namely, Computer Based Training and War Simulation.
